So you want to play Roulette on the Internet, generally referred to as “Web Roulette”, but aren’t sure how it works, or how to go about it. You’ve come to the right place. In this article we’ll detail all aspects of Web Roulette, including how it differs from live Las Vegas Roulette, the advantages of Web Roulette and how to play over the Internet.

First, we’ll offer you a brief introduction to Web Roulette. The greatest element of playing online is that you don’t have to put up real money. You can actually play Web Roulette for free. So for novice Roulette players who are still learning the game and developing strategies, you can test your new skills before you drop any cash.
Web Roulette is much faster than a live Roulette game, since you don’t have to wait for others to complete their bets or for time to be called, and the wheel to be spun. A few clicks of the mouse and your bets are placed, wheel spun and all winnings immediately placed in your bankroll. If you’ve ever played Roulette in a casino, you may have gotten the impression it is a rich man’s game, which tends to make us average people feel a little intimidated. Web Roulette solves this issue as well – heck, you can play in your underwear if you like!

One last advantage I’d like to point out that makes Web Roulette phenomenally more enjoyable is a player’s bankroll size. Let’s face it – unless you’ve won an all expenses paid trip to Las Vegas, you’re going to be shelling out some major dough to travel there, get a room, wine and dine, and any other expenses that may occur. Playing Web Roulette allows the player to take all of that cash that would have gone into the trip and put it directly into your bankroll, saving you not only travel time, but a good deal of money.
With the differentials and advantages out of the way, let’s discuss how Web Roulette is actually played.

Practice Play – Most Web Roulette casinos allow for practice play, in which the player is given free Play-Credits to enjoy the games without making a deposit. Of course, the winning are Play-Credits as well, and cannot be redeemed for cash.
Real Money Play – If you wish to play for real money, go to the cashier section of the Web Roulette Casino and make a deposit using any of the secure payment methods available to you.
From the lobby, choose your favorite game of Web Roulette – American Roulette, European Roulette, French Roulette, etc. The table will load instantly and you’ll be ready to place your wagers.
Not all software brands are exactly the same, but generally speaking, all of the same options are there.
Web Roulette – Choosing Your Bet Size
In the lower left or right hand corner, you should see an array of chips in different colors, with various denominations printed on them. For example – $1, $5, $10, $20, $50, $100. Click on the chip that corresponds with the amount you wish to place per bet. Keep in mind that you may place more than one chip on the table, making multiple bets in various locations. If you select the $5 chip, every bet is made in increments of $5, etc.
Web Roulette – Placing Bets
Simply move your mouse over the Web Roulette Table and each bet option should be highlighted as you mouse-over it. For example, mouse over the intersection of the numbers 1-2-4-5, and all four squares should light up. Clicking this spot would place a Square Bet (or Corner Bet) on all four numbers. Mouse-over the desired bet placement and click the left mouse button one time. Clicking the same spot again will double the bet. Repeat for additional bets.
Web Roulette – Spin the Wheel
There is no time limit in Web Roulette. Feel free to take as much time as you wish to place your wagers. When you are ready to spin the wheel, simply click the icon labeled “Spin”. You will see a graphic display of the Roulette Wheel spinning, then coming to a stop on the winning number.
Most Web Roulette games have a close-up view of the winning number as well, generally located just under the display of the full wheel.

Web Roulette – Clear Bets
After placing your first series of bets and spinning the wheel, you’ll notice that your bets are still on the table. Chips are not removed because many players will Re-Bet the same numbers several times in a row. (Often, the Spin icon changes to read “Re-Bet” for this reason.) If you wish to clear all bets from the table, look for the button labeled “Clear”, usually found next to the “Spin” button. (Doing so will change the “Spin” icon back from reading “Re-Bet” to “Spin”.)
Web Roulette – Win or Lose
There will be a box – usually around the middle of the table, below the betting diagram, either towards the left or right side – that displays how much your total wager was on the last spin, followed by how much you won from the spin. For example, if you place two $5 chips on the table, one on Red and one on Odd, this would be displayed as “Total Bet: $10”. If both bets win, the following information given would be “Total Win: $20”.
Web Roulette – Tracking Numbers
If you wish to track the winning numbers over a period of time (though I can tell you now, this does absolutely no good at Web Roulette!), there is normally a small box off to one side or another that keeps track of the last 15 or so numbers, most separating the red’s and black’s for convenience.
